Principal’s Message

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff,

As we reach the end of another busy school year, we will each reflect on the successes and challenges along the way. 2018 will be remembered as an important year for the College in so many ways. It gives me a great pleasure to congratulate you all completing the year with success and thank you to each and every one of you for your hard work, commitment and effort.

Sirius College is a wonderful place to work and learn. It is a place of optimal learning, quality and success. Sirius College is committed to help students who are shaped as a whole person with true guidance to reach their potential. School life has been busy as usual and students have finally completed their exams and pieces of work. We always mention academic excellence, striving for more, and broadening our learning within the school and in our community. But just as important is improving the skills to recharge our batteries and start the coming year ahead afresh.

A common issue with students is completely switching off during the holiday season. When they come back to school, having had no prior mental stimulation, they find it difficult to develop a study rhythm and reach their potential. If students are able to exercise during this coming break, no matter how little, they will find it much easier to achieve a higher standard of results from the beginning.

I would like to acknowledge our 2018 Graduates on the successful completion of their VCE. I hope, we all are going to share the joy and pride once the results are revealed on the 14th of December. I wish them all every success in their new journeys.

As many of you are aware of that my journey with Meadow Fair Campus is ending this year. I have been with the school for more than 14 years and the last 4 years in Meadow Fair Campus. I must state that I really enjoyed my time here. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support, understanding, kindness and cooperation.

Mr Mehmet Cicek, Eastmeadows Girls Campus Principal, has been appointed as Meadow Fair Campus Principal. He is one of those who are highly dedicated and hard working. I am sure that Meadow Fair Campus will be more successful under his leadership. I wish him every best and success for the coming years ahead.

Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the Sirius College staff for the sincere dedication and commitment they demonstrate toward students – they truly are a special group of educators.

I look forward to visiting Meadow Fair Campus to witness a great work you are doing and achieving the best.
